Should I post on LinkedIn every day

You can post on LinkedIn every day, and I do. Most business owners should start at three times a week on their personal profile. Daily is optional intensity, not the requirement. If three times a week already feels like too much, that is the number to protect first.
I have been posting every day for about six years. I have about 26,000 followers, all organic. On workshops I still tell people the floor is three times a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Daily is what I personally run. It is not what I force on every customer.

Should I post on LinkedIn every day?
Only if you can keep the quality bar and the schedule for months. Otherwise post three times a week and do not skip weeks.
On the Maven workshop I said it straight: I would love every single one of you to post every day. I am like, I don't know how people are not posting every day. Then I also said not everyone wants to. So the honest product answer is a floor, not a flex. Minimum three times a week. Daily if you have the raw material and the forcing function.
If you think three times a week is too much, try like 10 times a week. I am only half joking. The fear is spam. The reality is LinkedIn already throttles how often your followers see you.
Does posting every day look like spam?
Not the way the algorithm actually works. Your followers are not seeing every post.
I feel like I post every day, and I do, but there is no way my 26,000 followers see every post I make every day. That would make no sense if that is how the algorithm worked. Even three times a week for you is closer to once a week for them.
Spam is empty filler. Spam is AI slop. Spam is the same tip rewritten five ways. Daily first-person posts from real work are not spam. They are inventory for a feed that already misses most of what you publish.
What should I measure if I post every day?
Profile views over 90 days. Not whether one post felt quiet.
In workshops I show 3,166 profile views across 90 days. That is the number I care about more than likes on a single post. People are already on LinkedIn. You do not need to drive them to a website first.
My best post was a story from the early Uber days when Uber and Lyft launched Raleigh on the same day. About 700,000 impressions and 22 inbound. That did not happen because I posted once and waited. Frequency is how you give more posts a chance to be that one. I have also written posts that got about 100 impressions and zero likes. Both can live in the same system.
When does posting every day backfire?
When daily becomes a machine for generic tips, or when you burn out and disappear for three weeks.
The failure mode is not volume. It is empty volume. Finding the balance between relevant content and posting to post, or sloppy, or cringy, or just BS. AI slop, certainly. If daily means inventing filler, drop to three times a week and ship from real source material: calls, notes, wins, mistakes.
Done is better than perfect. Hours polishing one post while the calendar goes empty is the more common failure. Empty weeks hurt more than an imperfect post.
A simple rule if you are deciding between daily and three times a week
Use this for the next 90 days before you rewrite the rules.
1. Lock three times a week on your personal profile as non-negotiable. Monday, Wednesday, Friday is the default I teach.
2. Add daily only if you already have enough real material each week without inventing topics.
3. Schedule the week in one sitting. That block is the forcing function. Without it, most people wait for inspiration and get silence.
4. Edit until it sounds like you. Kill hyperbole and blocked AI-sounding words.
5. Track profile views over 90 days, not mood after one quiet post.

FAQ
Should I post on LinkedIn every day or three times a week?
Three times a week is the floor most people need. Daily is fine if you can keep voice and material. Skipping weeks is worse than either answer.
Will posting every day hurt my LinkedIn reach?
Empty filler can. Consistent first-person posts usually do not, because most followers never see most posts anyway. Measure profile views over time.
Can I post twice a day on LinkedIn?
You can. I would rather you protect three strong posts a week than chase twice-a-day volume with weak drafts.
