Comparison
The best AuthoredUp alternatives in 2026, compared honestly
The best AuthoredUp alternative depends on why the editor is not enough. If you want posts that sound like you, built from what you know and do, Mylance is built for that, and Supergrow and ContentIn draft from your own material too. If you want audience growth and lead tools, look at Taplio, and if you want a person to write, hire a ghostwriter or use Mylance Done For You.
AuthoredUp is a focused LinkedIn editor: formatting, preview, hooks, analytics, and scheduling through a Chrome extension. It is a good fit if you already write. It is a weaker fit if you want drafts from your calls and notes, or if you want lead outreach. Here is who is best for each, with prices checked on October 31, 2026.

Which AuthoredUp alternative is right for you?
Mylance: best if you want posts that sound like you
Mylance turns what you know and do into LinkedIn posts that sound like you. Self-Serve does not auto-write posts. You write with Mylance: unlimited posts, a content calendar built around your goals, and a writing profile built from your actual LinkedIn posts. Recorded preferences can guide later drafts. Nothing on Free or Self-Serve publishes until you approve it. If you do not want to write at all, Done For You drafts and schedules 3 posts a week, with a monthly 1:1 strategy call. You can edit or unschedule any of them before they publish.
Best for: agency owners, consultants, fractional executives, and law, CPA and other professional practices, where your own credibility helps win the work, and you want the posts to sound like you.
Where another tool fits better: stay on AuthoredUp if you already write and only want a cheaper editor. Use Taplio or another Taplio-style tool if you want auto-DMs, connection requests or a lead database. Mylance does not do those.
Price (checked Oct 31, 2026): Free; Self-Serve $99/mo or $79/mo billed yearly; Done For You $997/mo or $797/mo billed yearly. Self-Serve $99/mo does not auto-write posts. Done For You $997/mo drafts and schedules posts.

AuthoredUp: still the best cheap editor if you write the posts
AuthoredUp lives in LinkedIn as a Chrome extension and as a web app. The Individual plan includes text styling, bullet points, a preview, unlimited drafts and snippets, company pages at no extra charge, 300+ hooks and post endings, 1-click post reuse, and content analytics. Scheduling and publishing are part of a connected profile. Business adds draft collaboration and team analytics, priced per profile with a minimum of 3. A Custom Growth plan starts at 10 profiles.
Best for: people who already know what to say and want the writing surface, the preview and the analytics to be better.
Where another tool fits better: Mylance, Supergrow or ContentIn if the blank page is the problem. Taplio if you want outreach. A ghostwriter if you want a person. Coauthor, AuthoredUp's AI writer, is still labeled a beta on their product news (open to trial and paid plans, first-come first-served). The pricing page does not list it as a launched feature.
Price (checked Oct 31, 2026): Individual $19.95/mo, or $16.63/mo billed at $199.50/year. Business $14.95 per profile per month ($12.46 billed at $149.50/year), minimum 3 profiles. Two-week free trial, no card.
Supergrow: best if you would rather talk than draft
Supergrow's Pro plan includes Content DNA, unlimited Postcast AI interviews, repurposing from YouTube, articles and PDFs, scheduling, a carousel maker, Engage, analytics and a weekly report. Their pricing FAQ says a 10-minute interview can generate 3 to 5 posts. Teams adds approvals and 5 accounts. There is no lead database on the pricing page. Publishing goes through LinkedIn's official API, according to Supergrow.
Best for: people who will show up for an interview, and marketing leads turning on a few executive accounts.
Where another tool fits better: AuthoredUp if you want to write inside LinkedIn for less. Mylance Done For You if you do not want to do the interview every week. See the Supergrow alternatives for the full split.
Price (checked Oct 31, 2026): Pro $39/mo, or $31/mo billed annually. Teams $199/mo for 5 accounts, or $189/mo billed annually. Enterprise is custom. 7-day free trial. If you do not pick a plan when it ends, Supergrow says the account pauses and you are not charged.
Taplio: best for audience growth and lead prospecting
Taplio's Starter plan is scheduling, analytics and a 5M+ viral post library, without AI writing. Growth adds the AI post writer, carousels, repurposing and engagement feeds. Pro adds a lead database plus bulk DMs and connection requests. Taplio's help center, updated the week of October 31, 2026, describes that database as 3M+ enriched profiles. The public pricing table names the database and does not print a count. The same help center says a payment method is required to start the 7-day trial.
Best for: people who want growth tools and outreach in the same product.
Where another tool fits better: AuthoredUp if you only wanted an editor and you write the posts. Mylance if you want your own material in your voice and you do not want auto-DMs. Read Mylance vs Taplio and the Taplio alternatives.
Price (checked Oct 31, 2026): Starter $39/mo ($32/mo yearly), Growth $69/mo ($49/mo yearly), Pro $199/mo ($149/mo yearly). 7-day free trial.
ContentIn: best for batching a week of posts
ContentIn reads your profile and past posts, runs a 10-minute interview, and plans the week every Sunday: 2 posts on Growth, 3 on Pro. Scheduling uses LinkedIn's official API. Pro adds company pages, leads analytics, a Telegram bot and more image and carousel room. There is a separate free post generator that does not need an account. The paid product has no free plan.
Best for: people who will sit down once and leave with a week queued.
Where another tool fits better: AuthoredUp if you want the draft to happen inside LinkedIn's composer. Mylance Done For You if you do not want a Sunday planning session. Taplio if leads and DMs are the point.
Price (checked Oct 31, 2026): Growth $39/mo ($31/mo yearly), Pro $59/mo ($48/mo yearly). Ghostwriter / Agency is custom. 7-day trial, card required, and a 30-day refund on the first payment.
A human ghostwriter: best if you want a person, not software
A ghostwriter or agency can take the writing off your plate, interview you, and post for you. The tradeoff is price and how long it takes them to sound like you. You are also one of several accounts they run.
Best for: owners who want a dedicated person and have the budget for a retainer.
Where another tool fits better: AuthoredUp if you will write and you want to spend about $20. Mylance Done For You if you want drafts and scheduling in your voice at a productized price, and you still want to edit or unschedule anything. The head-to-head is Mylance vs a LinkedIn ghostwriter.
Price (checked Oct 31, 2026): On that comparison, freelancers run $500 to $3,000/mo and agency tiers run $2,000 to $7,000/mo. Those figures come from 2026 industry pricing guides cited there, not from one ghostwriter's rate card.
Buffer is the cheap multi-network scheduler, not a LinkedIn writing tool. Free covers up to 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel. Essentials is $5/mo per channel billed yearly ($60/year) and Team is $10/mo per channel billed yearly ($120/year), with a 14-day trial on paid plans. Use it if you post to LinkedIn plus other networks and you only need a queue. Checked on buffer.com/pricing on October 31, 2026. The page shows yearly billing. It says yearly saves 2 months, so monthly billing costs more.

Mylance is a good fit if:
- You run a business where your own credibility helps win the work: an agency, a consultancy, a fractional practice, or a law, CPA or other professional practice.

- You are still figuring out what business to start, or you do not have an offer yet.
- You want AI to invent your positioning for you.
- You need executive comms or a startup go-to-market program.
- You only want a cheaper editor inside LinkedIn. AuthoredUp will serve you better.
- You want auto-DMs or a lead database. Taplio will serve you better.

Frequently asked questions
What are the best AuthoredUp alternatives?
It depends on what you wanted AuthoredUp to do. If you already write and want formatting, preview and analytics, AuthoredUp is still a strong, cheap choice. If you want posts built from what you know and do, look at Mylance, Supergrow or ContentIn. If you want growth and lead tools, look at Taplio. If you want a person to write, hire a ghostwriter or use Mylance Done For You. Prices checked October 31, 2026.
Does AuthoredUp write the posts for me?
Mostly you still write them. AuthoredUp is an editor inside LinkedIn: styling, hooks, preview, a calendar, analytics and scheduling through the Chrome extension. Coauthor is its AI writer. AuthoredUp's product news still calls Coauthor a beta, open to trial and paid plans, first-come first-served. It is not listed as a finished feature on the pricing page.
Which AuthoredUp alternative writes in my voice?
Mylance, Supergrow and ContentIn all work from your own material. On Mylance, Self-Serve does not auto-write posts: you write with a profile built from your LinkedIn posts, and nothing publishes until you approve it. Done For You at $997/mo drafts and schedules 3 posts a week. Supergrow uses Content DNA and Postcast interviews. ContentIn trains on your posts and a 10-minute interview. Coauthor aims at the same job, and it is still in beta.
Is there a free AuthoredUp alternative?
AuthoredUp's own trial is two weeks and does not ask for a card. Mylance has a free plan with no card and no trial clock: 2 published or scheduled posts a month and 3 prompts a week. Buffer has a free plan for up to 3 channels. Taplio and Supergrow offer 7-day trials, not free plans. ContentIn's 7-day trial requires a card.
What's cheaper than AuthoredUp?
Not much, if you want a LinkedIn editor. Individual is $19.95/mo, or $16.63/mo billed at $199.50/year. Checked October 31, 2026. Buffer's free plan covers 3 channels, and Essentials is $5/mo per channel billed yearly. Mylance Self-Serve is $99/mo ($79/mo yearly), so it is not the cheap option. You are paying for a writing profile and, on Done For You, for someone to draft and schedule the posts.
Which AuthoredUp alternative is best for consultants and agency owners?
If trust in you is part of why clients choose your business, you want posts that sound like you, built from real work, not a remix of viral posts. That is what Mylance is built for: agency owners, consultants, fractional executives, and law, CPA and other professional practices. Self-Serve does not auto-write posts. If you would rather hand it off, Done For You drafts and schedules 3 posts a week, and you can still edit or unschedule anything.
